One of our main goals is to demonstrate the diversity of our cultures and music. You will hear the exciting sounds of Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue, the popular sounds of Mariachi, and even Flamenco, and Tango. We are proud that Tennessee Arts Commission has awarded us a grant for Orquesta MaCuba to play the infectious rhythms of Cuba.
There will be several dance demonstrations such as: Tango by KATS, Salsa by Salsa Knox, Mexican folkloric dances by Grupo Santa Cruz, Flamenco by Lucia Arte y Pasion, and others, like Capoeira, a Brazilian Martial Arts.
Among other acts, Jason and Thais Bonilla of Creative Expressions and Chagy the Clown will mesmerize young and old.
Other performers include Heberest, Angel Zuñiga Martinez, Leonardo Ruiz, Trio Zuñiga, and more.
Una de nuestras metas principales es compartir con la comunidad la gran diversidad que existe dentro de nuestras culturas Hispanas. Una manera cumplir con nuestro objetivo es el ofrecerle al público una gran variedad en la música. Podrá escuchar la bailable energía de la Salsa, Cumbia y Merengue, el sonido popular de mariachis, la energética música caribeña.
Nuestra organización está muy orgullosa de haber recibido fondos de la Comisión del Arte de Tennessee para traer a Orquesta MaCuba que llenará la calle del contagioso ritmo caribeño. También tendremos muchas demostraciones de baile, incluyendo Salsa, Tango, Danzas Folklóricas de México, Flamenco y otros, como también una demostración de Capoeira, arte marcial de Brasil.
También estarán con nosotros Jason y Thais Bonilla de Creative Expressions con su show de títeres, el payaso Chagy, Heberest, Angel Zuñiga Martinez, Trio Zúñiga, Leonardo Ruiz, y otros.

Food is one of the very much acclaimed aspects of the HoLa Festival. Our food vendors show the culinary diversity in our countries, with special attention to authenticity of their dishes. Whether you are satisfying a craving (antojo) or trying something for the very first time, this section offers you a unique opportunity to pick from a wide variety of delicacies: empanadas, tamales, arroz con pollo, pinchos and so much more! Sample authentic food from Honduras, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia and Mexico. Where else could you try food from so many different countries?

La comida del Festival HoLa es muy alabada. Los vendedores de comida prestan atención especial a la autenticidad de sus platillos típicos. Así esté calmando algún antojo o probando una comida por primera vez, está sección gastronómica te ofrece una oportunidad única de escoger de muchos manjares: empanadas, arroz con pollo, pinchos y mucho más! ¿Dónde más puede tener la oportunidad de probar comida de tantos países?

Our signature event is a visual treat that highlights the varied and colorful costumes of Spain and Latin America, as well as some of the Caribbean Islands. Our families and friends proudly participate by wearing the national costumes of their countries of origin. The Parade of Nations helps highlight our similarities, as well as the regional diversity, even in a given country. Some of the countries represented are: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Mexico and Spain.
Our goal is to have every country represented!

- If you don’t have a costume… let’s try to make one!
- If you are traveling back to your country of origin, bring one back!
- If you have a costume that your children have outgrown… let us borrow it!
- If you want to get involved… volunteer!

El evento más característico del Festival, es el Desfile de las Naciones, en el cual nuestras familias y amigos muestran con orgullo y alegría, nuestra herencia, los trajes regionales de nuestros países de origen, nuestras semejanzas y diversidad. Padres, abuelos y niños están invitados a participar en el desfile.
¡Nuestro objetivo es tenerlos a todos este año!

Each year the HoLa Festival features Heritage Exhibits of countries in Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean. These exhibits give festival attendees a chance to learn about the uniqueness of each country and its people. Exhibits include information about geography, culture, history, flora and fauna, food, music, and other unique elements of each country’s heritage. To make it a more interactive, fun and educational activity, buy a passport and “travel” through this section collecting flag stickers from each country! The Heritage and Children’s Sections will be closing at 6:00 pm. Later everyone will have a chance to dance to salsa, cumbia, merengue music, and more!
NEW THIS YEAR HoLa Country Ambassadors are people who have a special pride, love and interest in preserving traditions and sharing the beauty and bounty of their (native or adopted) country with the community at large. They know a lot of people or want to meet others from their country. They will help coordinate their countries participation in the the Parade of Nations and Countries Exhibits.
If you are interested in setting up a Country Heritage Exhibit, even if it is not your country of origin, please contact us! We want all countries represented!

Cada año en el Festival de Hola tenemos la sección de la Herencia de los Países, donde se exhibe informacion de los diferentes países de Latino América, España y el Caribe. Es una gran oportunidad para aprender acerca de cada país, su gente, geografía, historia, flora y fauna y mucho más. Para hacer que su experiencia sea más interactiva, educacional y divertida, compre un pasaporte por un precio nominal y "viaje" por los países en esta sección para obtener las banderitas engomadas de cada país para su pasaporte! Las Mesas de los Países y la Sección de Niños cerrarán a las 6:00 p.m. Luego todos se reunirán para bailar salsa, cumbia, merengue ¡y más!
NUEVO Los Embajadores de HoLa son personas que sienten amor, orgullo por su país (de origen o adopción) e están muy interesadas en mantener las tradiciones y compartir con todo el mundo la belleza de su país. Conocen a mucha gente o tienen deseos de reunirse con otros compatriotas para asegurarse de que su país tenga representación en el festival. Ayudan a coordinar el Desfile de las Naciones y las Exposiciones de los Países.

For a nominal fee, children all ages can pick up a "Passport" or a "Traveling Guide” that will help them tour through the Exhibits of Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean. At each table, you will have an opportunity to learn about the uniqueness of each country, practice Spanish, and collect flag stickers for their passports. This activity will take place from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Heritage and Children’s Sections will be closing at 6:00 pm. After that everyone can enjoy the street fiesta and other activities.

Por un precio nominal, los niños pueden comprar un "Pasaporte" o "Guía de viaje" que les ayudará a recorrer los países en la sección de los Países para obtener las banderitas engomadas de cada país para su pasaporte. ¡Es una experiencia interactiva, educativa y divertida! Las Exposiciones de los Países cerrará a las 6:00 p.m. y la Sección de Niños cerrará a las 4:00 p.m. ¡De 6:00 a 8:00 nos reuniremos alrededor de la tarima principal a bailar con música en vivo! ¡Ven con toda la familia a bailar salsa, cumbia, merengue y mucho más!
In the Children’s section you can buy a wrist band for unlimited access to many activities: Home Depot building station, crafts, bouncy inflatable games, face painting, balloon animals, and more. A nominal fee may be charged for some other children's activities.
You can also purchase your very own passport for a nominal fee. You will be able to “travel” through Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean, and collect flag stickers for your passport! The Heritage and Children’s Sections will be closing at 6:00 pm. Families are then invited then to join in dancing and listening to the concert at Market Square. A fun way for the whole family to celebrate!
NEW THIS YEAR STORYTELLER Oralia Lamas will share with us stories from her native Mexico through the program "Semillitas de Aprendizaje", a program to promote literacy skills and preserve family traditions.

En la sección de los niños tendrás la oportunidad de participar en muchas actividades como manualidades, juegos inflables, hacerte pintar la cara, animalitos con globos y mucho más! ¡No se te olvide "viajar" con tu propio pasaporte por todo Latinoamérica, España y el Caribe en la sección de las Mesas de los Países! Las Mesas de los Países y la Sección de Niños cerrarán a las 6:00 p.m. Las familias entonces están invitadas a unirse a bailar ¡al son de la música en vivo! ¡Qué divertido para toda la familia!
NUEVO La cuentacuentos Oralia Lamas nos acompaña desde Mexico para compartir historias de su Mexico natal, a través del programa "Semilllitas de aprendizaje", cuyo objetivo es enseñar a los niños a leer al tiempo que aprenden las costumbres y tradiciones familiares.
Habrá un costo nominal para algunas actividades en la sección de los niños.
The Community Fair section offers an important and unique opportunity for non-profit organizations and agencies to share valuable, and in some instances, life saving information with festival attendees. Pick up valuable information about health, educational and social services in our community that will be of benefit to you and your family.
The HoLa Festival offers a unique opportunity to reach the Hispanic community. If you are interested in participating in the Community Fair Section, please download the form below for guidelines and application form. HoLa is not affiliated with any political party or religious organization. We will not accept requests for tables intended for political or proselytization purposes.

Dancing will be a part of the entire day's celebration, and families are especially invited to come to the main stage area of Market Square from 6 to 8 pm for Kazique's final act. Join us and dance to fun, live music. Come to learn, practice or show off your salsa moves! It's guaranteed fun time for the whole family!
